MemeKit Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MemeKit handles information related to your use of the browser, local library, Private Space, membership purchases, feedback, and basic runtime services. MemeKit does not require an account and shows no ads. Optional in-app purchases and subscriptions unlock membership features.

1. Information We Process
1.1 Local content
Browsing history, bookmarks, save tasks, saved files, playback progress, Private Space files, app passcodes, and preferences are primarily stored locally on your device. MemeKit does not proactively upload or read your local file contents. Private Space and app lock features protect access on your device; please keep your device, system passcode, and app passcode secure.
1.2 Device and technical information
To keep services available, run basic analytics, and troubleshoot issues, we may process a device ID or anonymous installation identifier, device model, system version, app version, language and region, time zone, network status, crash or performance data, and page or feature interaction events. This information is not used to identify your real-world identity.
1.3 Information you submit
When you contact us by email or technical support, we receive the email address, issue description, screenshots, device information, or log excerpts you choose to provide. Please do not include unrelated sensitive personal information in support messages.
1.4 Network feature requests
When you actively use online configuration, public-link parsing, web processing, remote language configuration, membership purchase or restore, or feedback-related features, the requested URL, page text, purchase status, transaction or entitlement identifiers, device language, app version, device identifier, or other necessary technical parameters may be sent over HTTPS to complete the feature, prevent abuse, maintain stability, and troubleshoot issues.
2. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services only as needed to provide features, measure quality, and troubleshoot issues. They process data under their own policies.

This version integrates no advertising SDK, does not use Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA), does not sell your data, and does not use data for cross-app or cross-site advertising tracking.
3. Permissions
- Photos: to import images or videos and save media to your photo library.
- Local Network: to transfer files with other devices over the same Wi-Fi network.
- Face ID / Touch ID: for app launch verification, Private Space protection, and local access control.
You can manage these permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from working.
4. Purposes
- Provide core browsing, saving, file management, playback, Private Space, and membership entitlement features.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, detect abnormal requests, and troubleshoot failures.
- Improve app stability, performance, and user experience.
- Respond to feedback, support requests, and legal obligations.
5. Storage, Retention, and Deletion
Local content is stored on your device. You can delete files in the app, clear cache, or uninstall the app to remove local data. Analytics, server logs, and purchase entitlement records are retained for a reasonable period needed for their purposes, then deleted or anonymized where applicable. Support emails are retained until the issue is handled and for any necessary compliance period.
6. Sharing and Disclosure
Except for the service providers described in this policy, your direction or consent, or valid legal or governmental requests, we do not disclose your information to unrelated third parties. We do not sell personal information.
7. Children's Privacy
MemeKit is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without guardian consent, please contact us and we will handle it under applicable law.
8. Your Choices and Rights
- Withdraw Photos, Local Network, Face ID, or similar permissions in system settings.
- Delete local files, clear cache in the app, or uninstall the app to remove local data.
- Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information you provided through feedback or support channels.
- If you disagree with this policy, stop using and delete the app.
9. Security
We use HTTPS, system Keychain, local permission controls, and necessary access restrictions to protect information. No system can be absolutely secure. Keep your system updated and do not share your app passcode or device unlock credentials.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when features, laws, or operations change. Material changes will be communicated by updating this page or through visible in-app notice. The date at the top shows the latest update.
